ZOOM HOW-TO

The easiest way to participate in conference events is to install the Zoom desktop client onto your computer. To do this, visit this page, select your operating system, and download "Zoom Client for Meetings." Once this is installed, go to the HMCSF Zoom Portal and click on the link for the event you would like to join. This will open a new tab, where you should choose "Open zoom.us." If that option does not appear, click on "Launch Meeting" and a dialogue box will open.

If you are unable to install the Zoom desktop client, you can also access conference events through your web browser. Simply go to the HMCSF Zoom Portal, click on the meeting link for the event you would like to join, and select "Join from your browser" in the new tab that opens.

Depending on your privacy settings, your browser may immediately connect to your camera and microphone. Here are instructions to enable access to your camera and microphone for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox.

If you are experiencing internet connectivity problems, you can also dial into Zoom meetings over the phone. To join via dial-in audio, call one of the numbers listed below and enter the Meeting ID listed on the Zoom Portal page for that meeting, followed by the # key. Please note these are not toll-free numbers and that standard phone service charges may apply. Some international locations may not have access to Zoom dial-in numbers.
