MATT TIBBITTS
PRESIDENT

Matt Tibbitts is a rising junior in Eliot House. Matt plans to concentrate in economics alongside environmental science and public policy. Originally from Ludlow, Massachusetts, Matt is currently working as a legislative director in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. In his senior year of high school, he was elected to the Massachusetts Board of Elementary and Secondary Education where he represented over 954,000 students, spoke at numerous education conferences, and was published in a national policy journal. In his free time, Matt can be found playing board games with his friends or playing the drums.

NATHAN ZHAO
VICE PRESIDENT

Nathan is a junior in Lowell House originally from Wayland, Mass. He plans on studying Economics or Applied Mathematics with a secondary field in Philosophy. Outside of HMC, he's involved in the innovation, startup and venture capital scene on campus and leads pre-orientation trips with the First-Year Outdoor Programs. Nathan is passionate about politics, creative writing, and anything involving the great outdoors.

NAHLA OWENS
DIRECTOR OF CONGRESSIONAL PROGRAMS

Nahla is a rising sophomore at Harvard from Houston, Texas. She hopes to study Government and Educational Studies and work in education policy after graduating. When she’s not working with Harvard Model Congress, you can probably find her rehearsing with Expressions (the hip-hop dance group), teaching 5th graders about civic engagement with the CIVICS program, or organizing events for the Institute of Politics. She can’t wait to work with you all at this year’s HMC San Fransisco conference!

ALYVIA BRUCE
DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Alyvia is a junior at Harvard College, originally from Charlotte, MI (a very small, rural town). She is pursuing a joint concentration in Government and History, with a secondary in Education, and two language citations in Spanish and in American Sign Language. Outside of HMCE, Alyvia volunteers with a mentorship group for young girls in the Boston/Cambridge area, and she is also involved in the Harvard Political Review and Harvard Model UN. In her free time, she can be found drinking coffee, watching Friends or playing with her Cavachon puppy, Czarina. She is beyond excited to see you all at HMCSF 2023!

ELLA WESSON
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY

Ella is a junior in Winthrop House from Manhasset, New York. She is pursuing a concentration in History and Science and a secondary in Psychology while on the Pre-Medical track. This will be Ella's fourth HMC conference. Outside of HMC, she enjoys editing for the Harvard Health Policy Review, listening to music, cooking and baking, and taking walks (especially along the Charles River!). She is incredibly excited to welcome you all to HMCSF 2023!

JOHN LIVELY
BUSINESS MANAGER

John studies History of Art and Architecture with a secondary in Economics and lives in Pforzheimer House. He is part of the class of 2024. John has participated in several HMC conferences in the past as a staffer and is excited to be on the board this year. Outside of HMCSF, John is involved in several business organizations on campus and enjoys spending time with friends. In San Francisco, John loves exploring the Museum of Modern Art and taking walks along the water. He is excited to meet everyone at HMCSF 2023!
