Layla Kelly

President

Layla is a sophomore at Harvard studying Government and Economics, originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a proud resident of Lowell House. She is beyond excited to serve as President of HMCSF 2027 after previously working as Director of Congressional Programming, a role that deepened her love for the organization and its mission. On campus, Layla leads the Women’s Initiative in Leadership at the Institute of Politics and is also involved with Harvard Model Congress Europe and Boston. Outside of HMCSF, she can often be found leading campus tours for the Admissions Office, unwinding with yoga, or exploring Cambridge in search of her next favorite coffee shop.

Riya Sikand

Vice President

Riya is a sophomore in Dunster House from New Jersey. She is studying Computer Science and Molecular & Cellular Biology with a minor in Government. She is so excited to be returning to HMCSF as VP this year after having been Director of Operations & Technology last year. Riya is also involved in HMC Boston and HMC Europe. Outside of HMC, Riya is a part of the Harvard Undergraduate Biotechnology Club, The Crimson Sports Board, and Women in Entrepreneurship. In her free time, Riya enjoys reading, painting, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family (and her dog, Mocha!). Riya is looking forward to welcoming everyone to HMCSF 2027!

Joanna Rawlings

Director of Congressional Programs

Joanna is a sophomore living in Eliot and is currently planning to study Human Biology, Behavior, and Evolution with a secondary in Integrated Biology. She is a former delegate of HMCSF, and is so excited to be on the other side of the curtain! Outside of HMCSF, Joanna is also involved in Radcliffe Choral Society, HMC Asia, HMC Boston, the Crimson's design team, and Student Astronomers at Harvard Radcliffe. In her free time, you can find her people-watching with a breakfast croissant sandwich at Tatte and drawing temporary tattoos on her friends.

Thomas Walder

Director of Special Programs

Thomas is a first-year student at Harvard studying Social Studies and Education, proudly from Newark, Delaware. On campus, he lives in Wigglesworth Hall and is involved in CIVICS, SCAS, and the Harvard Crimson. Beyond academics, he loves collecting CDs and eating Veritaffles at the dining hall. After staffing HMCSF in 2026, he’s looking forward to getting more involved in the conference and taking Special Programs to new heights!

Audrey Lin

Faculty Liaison

Audrey is a first-year at Harvard studying Biology and Economics on the pre-medical track. Originally from San Diego, California, she firmly believes in #WestCoastBestCoast, and couldn't be more excited to head back to California for HMCSF 2027! Outside of HMC, Audrey is involved in Harvard CBE, a sustainable strategy consulting group, the Institute of Politics, and the Harvard Taiwanese Culture Society! In her free time, you'll find Audrey drinking too many matcha lattes from Blank Street or sidequesting in Boston with friends. She can't wait to head back to the BEST conference and meet all the delegates and faculty!

Isaiah Flores

Business Manager

Isaiah is a Junior at Harvard studying Economics and Environmental Science and Public Policy. Originally from Amarillo, TX, he lives in Adams House on campus. Outside of academics, Isaiah is involved in HMC Boston and the Cambridge Birding Club, and enjoys hiking and New England day trips in his free time. He cannot wait to return to HMCSF this year to serve on the board again.

Austin Li

Director of Operations & Technology

Austin is a freshman at Harvard studying Government and Economics! Having grown up in San Francisco, Austin is extremely excited to host HMC San Francisco in his hometown! Currently using Hollis Hall as his base of operations, Austin is also involved in the Institute of Politics Policy Program, the Harvard Glee Club, and the Small Claims Advisory Service. In his free time, you will catch Austin collecting Pokemon cards and competing in tournaments, playing chess and board games with friends, or going out for food in Boston! After staffing HMC San Francisco last year, Austin is beyond excited to return this year as part of the executive board!

Jacky Loc

Director of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Jacky is a sophomore in Mather House studying Government and Economics. As a San Francisco native, he is particularly thrilled to welcome everyone to his beloved hometown for HMCSF 2027! After serving as the Faculty Liaison for HMCSF 2026, his role will build on that previous experience, expanding access to HMCSF. Outside of Harvard Model Congress, Jacky loves to keep up with urban issues, binge-watch dramas and sitcoms, and collect postcards of iconic skylines. At Harvard, Jacky is also a member of the Institute of Politics, Undergraduate in Asia Program, and the Matter Initiative Advisory Board.

Jack Favata 

Chief of Staff

Jack is a first-year student at Harvard studying Government and Spanish. Originally from Ludlow, Massachusetts, Jack calls Thayer Hall home on campus. Outside of HMC San Francisco, he is involved with the Institute of Politics, the Harvard Undergraduate Marketing Group, and the Phillips Brooks House Association. In his free time he enjoys having fun with friends in the yard and scoping out sweet treat spots in and around Boston. Fun fact, Jack was a delegate at HMC Boston in high school!
