Registration for HMCSF 2027 is now open!

Immediately following registration, due by October 20th

Information regarding payment will be available after submission of the registration form and should be submitted as soon as possible. We are accept payment via wire transfer, Stripe, and mail-in check.

Applications are now open and will close October 5th, 2026 at 11:59PM ET.

HMCSF is proud to offer generous scholarships for delegates with demonstrated financial need. Please let us know if you plan to apply for financial aid by emailing our Faculty Liaison, Audrey, so that we can proceed with role assignments without payment. After the Oct. 5th deadline, if additional funds remain, we will consider rolling submissions on an as-needed basis.

Immediately following registration.

All students and faculty are required to stay in the Hyatt Regency Downtown SOMA and must book through our HMCSF Hyatt blocking group. This allows us to hold our event annually at the Hyatt Downtown. Faculty will have the opportunity to indicate the number of rooms that they would like to reserve in the initial school registration form (Step 1).

If you need to reserve more than 2 rooms, in total, please email the Faculty Liaison (faculty@hmcsanfran.org) to coordinate room bookings.

Rolling Basis; Both forms closes November 1st

The Faculty Liaison will issue an electronic committee request form where registered delegates may submit the rankings for each of their top committee preferences.

Each delegate may only preference each committee once and must submit four different preferences. All committee roles will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Delegates from the same school should not all request the same committees. For educational reasons, no more than a few delegates from a school will be placed into the same committee. HMCSF reserves the right to place delegates in committees they have not preferenced if space does not allow or if delegations do not adhere to these outlined guidelines.

Included in the committee preference form will be submission of the Code of Conduct form. Before submitting their committee preferences, delegates will be prompted to download and sign this Code of Conduct form. Faculty advisors will be notified if any students fail to upload the Code of Conduct form as it is required for participation in the conference.

Approximately One Week Before Start of Conference

All students will be required to submit a Pre-Conference assignment. Pre-Conference assignments ask students to think critically about their assigned briefings and generate a position on each issue raised. Pre-Conference assignments will be due on or around one week before the start of the conference. The exact emails for submission will be made clear in the role assignment email. All delegates will receive feedback from a Harvard staffer.

Additionally, Harvard staffers will be available to answer any questions and provide advice for research and preparation leading up to the conference. Students are expected to think carefully before submitting their assignments, and faculty advisors are encouraged to work with delegates as they complete the assignments, although all work must be original and completed by the student.
